Why is Madoff not in jail while awaiting trial?
Our financial system is going through the greatest crisis in our country?s hishow to gain confidencery. We need to restore CONFIDENCE. Extraordinary times require extraordinary action. In order to restore CONFIDENCE our government needs to re-assure the world?s investors that our system is secure and free of corruption.
Madoff is sitting at home with his feet up, having blown several times the budget of the state of California, while hundreds of thousands are losing their homes and their jobs.
As the first step to restoring CONFIDENCE, those that do this stuff must be made to understand that the consequences are extremely onerous.
