  1. Those are great ideas but I have Moms gift all figured out already. She actually made it pretty easy on me this year but just coming out and telling me what she wants. She knows I work for Dish so she wants me to get her one of their new Hopper DVRs. I know she wants it to get HD in every room, but the real reason she wants it is for Primetime Anytime. I have never seen anyone that DVRs more shows then my mom. She is the only person I know of that might actually fill up a 2 terabyte hard drive!

  2. Jarold, I have an update on my Mother and her new Hopper DVR. I had the tech come out on Saturday before Mothers Day so that Mom could enjoy Sunday with her new DVR. Her install went very well, so well in fact that the technician and I had a little time to shoot the breeze about our experiences working at Dish. I was kind of shocked by how quickly Mom took to the Hopper. Before I knew it, she was showing me things on the Hopper that I didn’t even know about. She discovered a new Primetime Anytime feature called Auto Hop. When she plays a show from Primetime Anytime she is given the choice to skip commercials in that show. She loves it because she can watch so many more of her shows as she doesn’t have to sit through 20 minutes of commercials for an hour long show.
