"True Blood's" Alexander Skarsg?rd is grateful for his fans' admiration, but there's one thing he'll never do: bite them!

"That's one thing I'll never really understand," the actor, 35, told BlackBook Magazine in an interview published Tuesday. "But the main reason I don't ever do it is because if I do it just once, every single person will be like, 'Bite me! Bite me! Bite me!'"

But Skarsg?rd's pals in his native Sweden aren't starstruck by their vampire pal. "Not a single one of them is impressed by me," he said. "They're happy for me, but they don't give a f--- about that s---.... They could care less that they're hanging out with a 'celebrity.'"

Skarsgard split up with fellow star Kate Bosworth earlier this year. "It was very mutual," a source told Us Weekly of the breakup. As of last month, a source said the "True Blood" hunk was "single and loving the attention."
